Caregivers assume a pivotal role by delivering indispensable support to families and individuals facing various needs. Their role involves providing compassionate care and assistance to children, seniors, and individuals with disabilities, actively contributing to their well-being and elevating their overall quality of life.

Iwajay Immigration Services bridges the gap between caregivers and immigration opportunities. We understand the unique challenges faced by caregivers looking to immigrate and strive to provide support every step of the way.

At Iwajay Immigration Services, we not only facilitate connections between caregivers and immigration opportunities but also provide comprehensive guidance throughout the entire process. Our team assists you in navigating requirements, completing necessary documentation, and optimizing your chances of success. To qualify for the caregiver program, caregivers must possess relevant work experience, such as previous roles as a nanny, childcare provider, or personal support worker, all of which are highly advantageous. Employers often prefer caregivers with specialized skills, including first aid training, experience with individuals with disabilities, or knowledge of specific medical conditions.

Here are the 3 pathways for caregivers:

  • Live-in Caregiver Program (LCP):
The LCP enables caregivers to work and eventually immigrate to Canada permanently. Under this program, caregivers live in their employer's home, providing full-time care. After fulfilling program requirements and gaining the necessary work experience, caregivers can apply for permanent residency through this pathway.
  • Home Child Care Provider Pilot (HCCP):
Specifically tailored for caregivers offering child care services, the HCCP allows qualified individuals to work and apply for permanent residency, provided they meet the program's criteria and accumulate the required work experience. This pathway acknowledges the significance of childcare in Canadian society, offering caregivers an opportunity to build a future in the country.
  • Home Support Worker Pilot (HSWP):
Designed for caregivers assisting individuals with high medical needs, such as seniors or those with disabilities, the HSWP allows caregivers to work and apply for permanent residency. Through this pathway, caregivers contribute their skills to enhance the lives of those in need, establishing themselves in Canada and making a meaningful difference in the lives of vulnerable individuals.

To be eligible for permanent residency as a caregiver in Canada, you must meet certain criteria set by the government. We will assess your qualifications, conduct a thorough evaluation, and determine the pathway  for which you qualify. We will then provide you with DETAILED ADVICE on the requirements, next steps, full cost implication, timeline and guidance on how best to proceed once we know the pathway we qualify for.
